Joining the Centre as a member

The main reason we want to expand our membership is simply to have your interest and moral support for the work we are trying to do.  We think that many of you will feel as we do that the work is important, especially with children and young people, and that you might like the opportunity to be part of it in a small way.  At the moment we have approximately 50 members including our 11-strong Management Committee.  A larger group would bring a wider range of experience and ideas to inform and encourage our work.

Members will have the opportunity to vote in, or out, the membership of the Management Committee.  We think that this democratic check is important for the health of our organisation

Members will be kept informed about the Centre’s work through an annual newsletter and events programme, as well as an AGM once a year.  

To become a member of the Industrial & Provident Society you must purchase a £1 share.  However, we are asking for a payment of £10 for one year's membership or £25 for three years membership (£1 for the share, the remainder to cover administration).
